ABSTRACT
The terms incidence, prevalence, coronary heart disease, coronary artery disease, and cardiovascular disease, as used in this chapter (Wilson and Douglas 2012), are dened as follows:
• Prevalence-The number of existing cases of a disease divided by the total population at a point in time.
