ABSTRACT
AVR studio is compatible with a collection of C/C++ development tools that have been designed to produce machine-language programs for the AVR microcontroller. WinAVR is a suite of open source tools targeting the AVR family. It is based on the GNU GCC (GNU = GNU is Not UNIX and GCC = GNU Compiler Collection) compiler. AVR Studio will recognize the WinAVR tools once they are installed and then will allow the development of C and C++-based AVR projects. e WinAVR ¢les are available for download at winavr.sourceforge.net.
