ABSTRACT

Just as with most high profile investigations, there were a large number of POIs in the Jack the Ripper investigation who were identified as suspects for a number of reasons and from a variety of sources. Unfortunately, many of the investigative case records including the suspect file went missing during the 1970s and early 1980s before they could be deposited in the Public Record Office. Many of the documents have resurfaced over the years, but the location of the suspect file still remains a mystery.
