ABSTRACT
Varicoceles are common with an estimated incidence of 15 percent in teenagers. Most varicoceles (80-90 percent) occur on the left side. Isolated right-sided varicoceles are rare; these patients usually present with bilateral disease. Bilateral varicoceles may be caused by factors that cause increase in central venous pressure, such as congenital heart disease.
