ABSTRACT
Interventional radiology (IR) is a rapidly growing field in pediatrics. Most pediatric IR has been adapted from adult practice in an attempt to improve on existing surgical techniques, and radiologists now perform many procedures that were previously exclusively in the domain of pediatric surgery. Continued cooperation between surgeons and radiologists will lead to further improvements.
