ABSTRACT
Ergonomics is the study of people at work or in structured activities.
Laparoscopic surgery is not intuitive. Unlike open surgery, where there is very little need to interact with sophisticated surgical equipment, even the simplest diagnostic laparoscopy requires the surgeon to interact with laparoscopic equipment without which it is impossible for them to visualize the operative field, and to manipulate the instruments.
