At this crossroad lies the ethical and legal treatment of sexual minorities; those individuals whose sexual identity, orientation, and behavior are perceived as outside mainstream culture. Specifically, it focuses on the treatment and rights of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender individuals. The entry includes four sections: 1) context; 2) definitions; 3) ethics and law; and 4) conclusion.
