ABSTRACT

Wide using of lysozyme in medicine for the treatment of various infections and in food and cosmetic industry to prevent bacterial contamination of the stuffs leads to production of the resistance of microorganisms to lysozyme action. In recent years, a great deal of attention has been devoted to the investigations aimed at studying lysozyme modifications, affecting lysozyme properties while retaining its enzymatic activity. One of the ways to solve this problem is modification of lysozyme structure with using weak nonspecific interaction with 5-methylresorcinol. It is known numeral effects of MR on the structure and functions of lysozyme. In particularity, in concentration range of 10-7-10-3М MR the specific and nonspecific enzymatic activities raise, its substratum specificity extends and temperature range of lysozyme catalysis expands [1].
