ABSTRACT

15.1 Introduction

In this chapter, the basic knowledge about digital signal processing will be de-scribed. If you want to use inertial sensors for your work, or need to deal with any type of digital signals, you need to understand how to process, filter, and interpret your data. If you are familiar with digital signal processing, you can skip this chapter. In this chapter, general operations in signal processing, like sampling, aliasing, and transforming, will be introduced. An effort has been made to avoid bringing up the concepts in a complicated mathematic form. Instead this chapter attempts to simply provide general explanations about basic digital signal processing concepts.
