Duncan Chappell has presided over three tribunals: the Federal Administrative Appeals Tribunal (AAT), the New South Wales State Mental Health Tribunal, and internationally on the Commonwealth Secretariat

Arbitral Tribunal. ese are not “courts” in the strict sense, but as tribunals they have the authority to judge, or adjudicate, and determine claims or disputes. As the Commonwealth Secretariat Arbitral Tribunal does not have a criminal justice element, Duncan’s work there is not explored but is mentioned as part of his broad background.
