6.1 INTRODUCTION

There are a number of emerging issues in the world of wine tourism, and many of these are spawned not only by the growth in global wine

regions, but by innovative practices and expanding wine tourism research. This chapter explores this growth and innovation, and then identifies and describes eight emerging issues that are beginning to impact wine tourism today and will continue to do so in the future.
