ABSTRACT
The three-hinged structure is one of the simplest structural systems. Although not exclusively it has been used predominantly for bridges: the most well-known examples are the Alexandre III Bridge (1900) in Paris, France, and the Salginatobel Bridge (1930) in Schiers, Switzerland.
