ABSTRACT
Ildefonso Sán chez del Río Pi són (18 98-1980) was one of the most outstanding Spanish en gineers of the so-called Generation of 1927. Along with José Entrecanales, Eduardo Torroja and Carlos Fer nández Ca sado, he t rained at Madrid’s School of Civil Engi neering wi th Eugeni o Ribera, a master and pioneer of the use of reinforced concrete in Spain.
