ABSTRACT

The rapid evolution of high-throughput sequencing and proteomics has enabled new approaches to the study of complex organisms, from tissue to whole body. Entomology-related fi elds are rapidly adopting these “next generation” tools to solve pest problems. These tools are prompting entomologists to reexamine and redefi ne the control of some of the most problematic insect pests, those belonging to the Order Coleoptera.
