ABSTRACT

Africa’s emerging markets The awakening of Africa Africa’s economic rise provides evidence that there is a development boom afoot in Africa. In spite of the conventional perception of the continent, Africa is emerging as a viable avenue for global market growth. A large proportion of the growth has manufacturing implications. The focus on other emerging markets, such as India, Brazil, Turkey, Indonesia, Russia, Argentina, and others, has dwindled due to recent sluggish economies of those regions. By contrast, Africa is emerging as more and more vibrant as a business environment.
