ABSTRACT
It all started out with a love of mathematics, in particular discreet mathematics, and to be even more specic: combinatorics. Basically this is the study of how to count things. I was never happier than when I found this course in college. e discovery of a discipline devoted precisely to what one instinctively loves is one of life’s greatest joys. I was equally
disappointed to nd there was no such thing as a career in combinatorics, outside of academia-at least, not at that time.
