ABSTRACT

Pelvic fractures occur as a result of high-energy trauma and often have associated injuries such as abdominal trauma and injuries to the genitourinary system. Pelvic fractures can be life-threatening due to significant trauma and associated blood loss. This is especially true with high-energy unstable pelvic fractures. These injuries are very complex, and in low-and middle-income countries (LMICs), limited resources may make it quite difficult to treat these injuries.
