ABSTRACT

This book provides a wide range of information concerning recent advances in functionalized polysulfone compounds, based on an interdisciplinary approach of the synthesis process, computerized structures used to evidence specic properties, adaptation of various structures for specic applications, and thermodynamic aspects. After a basic introduction to each specic domain, the authors, who are specialists in the areas outlined, explore topics that include molecular technologies, thermodynamic aspects, nano or biomaterials-involving biocompatibility and antimicrobial properties-formation of metal nanoparticles in polysulfonic matrices, metal lm deposition on polysulfone surfaces, polysulfone compounds with chelating groups, and specic electro-optical properties, all discussed in the context of possible new applications.
