ABSTRACT

Whenever we talk about corporate culture, everyone leans in. Part of the reason for the obsession with corporate culture is that it is personal: everyone feels as though they exhibit the qualities of their corporations and, even more strangely, that corporations have consistent values about anything. Corporate culture is situational and evolving. Changes to the culture can be abrupt when revenue plummets, or gradual when profits remains consistent, or confused when horrible things are said about the company on social media. Of course there are some persistent behaviors and modus operandi, but events, especially big external ones, have a way of changing behaviors (and often leadership teams).
