ABSTRACT

Federal standards are referred to as the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR). These standards cover a very wide range of topics for virtually all parts of the government. These standards are inclusive for all the states in the union and the territories of the United States. The range of topics applicable to biomechanical analysis includes safety standards for materials, equipment, labor, and transportation. A vital aspect of CFR is that it also incorporates other standards by reference. In the various CFR titles, chapters, and sections, many other standards are incorporated in this manner. Make no mistake, the CFR is the law of the land.
