ABSTRACT

A Cyber-physical system (CPS) can be identied as a subsequent generation of embedded Information and Communication Technology (ICT) systems, which has become ubiquitous in every aspect of our lives. Embedded computation and compilation devices are merged together in CPS with actuators and sensors. CPS are generally spatially distributed exhibiting embryonic behavior such as cyber attacks and trafc jams resulting from system components interactions, which can be stopped when some specic components are resolved from the systems. The CPS, with qualities of universality and pervasiveness, has its effect on almost every aspect of our lives; the biggest challenge is to effectively predict the budding behaviors of the system. With the complexity of its models, it often obstructs to comprehensively test or verify their safe behavior. We can use an alternate method by equipping CPS with monitors so as to forecast the emergent behavior at run time. By using this approach, it makes CPS self-aware, allowing us to open more approaches for designing systems, which enables them to recongure dynamically to adapt different circumstances.
