ABSTRACT

Kinetics of the activated 1,1,3-trimethyl-3-(4-methylphenyl) butyl hydro peroxide decomposition in the presence of tetra ethyl ammonium bromide (Et4NBr) has been investigated. Et4NBr has been shown to reveal the catalytic properties in this reaction. The complex formation between hydro peroxides and Et4NBr has been shown by the kinetic and NMR

1H spectroscopy methods. Thermodynamic parameters of the complex formation and kinetic parameters of complex-bonded hydro peroxide decomposition have been estimated. The structural model of the reactive hydro peroxide catalyst complex has been proposed. Complex formation is accompanied with hydro peroxide chemical activation.
