ABSTRACT

ABSTRACT: The purpose of this project was to develop a technical modification of the scanning laser ophthalmoscope (SLO) for simultaneous binocular real-time imaging and stimulation of the retina. External optical elements only were added to a standard SLO 105 (Rodenstock). A system of two pairs of mirrors split the scanning field horizontally and divert the laser beams so that half of the scanning beams enters each pupil. A graphic board is used to generate psychophysical stimuli that are projected onto both central retinas.
