For many of the numerical examples, the maximum in (11) was positive for sufficiently large t. In these cases, { Wt} is a nondecreasing sequence for t > T with limit w• (see equation (3)) and Pit approaches a fixed point of (1). In this case, if w• < 1, then limt-+oo Pt = 0 = limt-+oo Ze. However, if w• > 1, then limt-+oo Pe = oo. Two numerical examples are presented which illustrate the dynamics when w• < 1 and w• > 1.
