The question raised often concerns a single worker; ‘so and so has medical problems, and should be declared “unfit for work” or sent into early retirement’. When this question arises, the employee is already on sick leave, even a long term sick leave, and is not therefore present at the workplace. He will be seen, occasionally but only rarely, for a mandatory check-up.
