ABSTRACT
Formed Much has been heard about the origin of the craters of the Moon. Nowadays most people believe that they are impact structures, though there are still a few supporters of the volcanic theory, according to which the craters are of the same type as our own calderae. But there have been other ideas too, so let us pause to look at a few of them.
