ABSTRACT

Digital audio is the conversion of sound into binary digits, a process using positive and no positive states, represented by the numbers 1 and 0 respectively. This makes the sound more compressed and faster. “In order for users to receive sound in real-time for a multimedia effect, listening to music, or in order to take part in an audio conference, sound must be delivered as streaming sound” (Whatis?.com, 2002, p. 52).
