ABSTRACT
We applied the theoretical approach that has been described in previous sections for the explanation of the behavior of several copolymers. For example, films of vinylpyrrolidone-butyl methacrylate (VP-BM) and vinylpyrrolidonemethyl methacrylate (VP-MM) copolymers were investigated (15). Table 1 gives a list of their characteristics. The copolymers contained hydrophilic (Nvinylpyrrolidone) and hydrophobic groups that enable the thermodynamics and the kinetics of water sorption to be varied.
