ABSTRACT

Accelerated aging tests of polymers are conducted to determine how a material or product will perform in its end-use environment. When the end-use environment is outdoor weathering, the accelerated test may need to account for several environmental factors. Most often the environmental stresses that are simulated are light,

h~at, and moisture. Biological agents, pollutant gases, and airborne particulates can also play a major role in the service life of polymeric materials.
