ABSTRACT

The Regulatory Profile identifies the principal federal environmental regulations that may affect the industry under study and the factors that determine which regulations apply to any particular operation. Such factors might include the size of the operation; the location of a facility (i. e., in an ozone nonattainment area); the types of chemical products it uses; and the types, quantity, and toxicity of the emissions and waste streams it generates. For the purposes of a CTSA, the Regulatory Profile helps focus the selection of alternatives by:
