ABSTRACT

Abstract This paper presents a case history of the development of the superstructure design for the maintenance sheds for North Pole International Railway Depot It discusses the formation of the design team, the concept development and the design solutions adopted, which included the cladding and provision for craneage. Finally the paper discusses tendering and construction issues including use of a prototype wall panel to verify cladding details and construction procedures.
