ABSTRACT
4.2 Test on PVC Models of TV Type Tubular Joints The test was carried out by the authors at Shanghai Jiao Tong University (Chen et al. 1992 1993). The PVC models includ~ two TY type tubular joints with the angle between the inclined brace and the chord 91=45°, and one with 91=60°. Dimensions of the chord and the brace are D=164.9mm, T=4.74mm, L=890.0mm, d=90.0mm, t=4.00mm, 1=300.0mm. The Young's Modulus of the material is E=3134.3N/mm2 for models under axial force and inplane bending moment, and E=4278.1N/mm2 for models under out-of-plane bending moment.
