ABSTRACT
The objective of the experimental investigations was to measure the strain concentration in the critical areas of the joint, in order to be able to make comparisons with the results of the numerical investigations, using the finite element method. In addition, fatigue tests were necessary for the determination of SoN curves, in order to be able to check the design recommendations given by Eurocode 3 and others.
