ABSTRACT
The Surface Ship Command System (SSCS) being developed by BAeSEMA Ltd for the Type 23 Frigate is believed to be the first system procured by the Royal Navy, and may be the first procured by the MoD in the UK, which incorporates a Human Factors programme leading to acceptance testing of usability as an integral part of the system development.
