This is a familiar trend, that can be seen all over Europe, in that smaller, leaner companies are replacing larger less cost effective ones.
3.0 Definition of the problems encountered by small companies
In general, small manufacturing firms in East Germany have five main problem Areas:
(1)Most of these companies do not have a great deal of marker knowledge and the use of cost accounting is negligible.
