ABSTRACT
InCCD,insteadofaconemodel,arectangularprism(apyramidal"stressblock")is used;anapproximately35°anglefromthesurfacehasbeenadoptedinsteadof45°.*The resultingprojectedsurfacesquareisthentakentobeequalinareato9timesthesquareofthe effectiveanchorembedment(Fig.6).Empiricalformulafactorsareintroducedtomakethe theoreticalresultsmatchtestresults.Theexactshapeoftheprismisnotimportantinanalyzing thecapacityofasingleanchorimplantedinavastexpanseofconcrete.Thecorresponding strengthformulacanadjustforchangesinareabetweenprismmodels.Whatisnewlyapparent, however,isthat
