ABSTRACT
This !la equivalent, when plotted against 1, is referred to as the blunting line. It should be pointed out, however, that this slope of the blunting line is in reality a test procedure formalism used to determine lIe values. The true effect of crack tip blunting may not always conform well with this simplistic model.
