ABSTRACT
While few primary care physicians perform bronchoscopy, they see many patients who require bronchoscopic procedures for either diagnostic or therapeutic indications. This chapter provides the referring physician with information on the different classifications of bronchoscopy, the indications for diagnostic bronchoscopy, the expanding list of bron choscopic interventions, and complications of the procedure.
