ABSTRACT
An oil field consists of all "pools" or reservoirs underlying a continuous geographic area, with no large enclosed subareas being considered unproductive.
Classification of Reservoirs
Oil reservoirs have been classified in different ways using different criteria:
1. Levorsen (1956) reported three general classes known as: structural traps, stratigraphic traps and combination traps.
