ABSTRACT
E. Modification of RAR Protein~ lt)y Phosphorylatlolll Polyclonal and monoclonal antibodies have been raised against the different RAR proteins and used for detection of either cloned or endogenous RARs (70-72). RARa, ~. and y proteins have been detected in embryonic extracts and RARa proteins in adult mouse tissues. Interestingly, it has been shown that RARa, !3, and y can be phosphorylated in vivo (70-72) both in the presence or absence of RA.
