Coupling Mortar Finite Element and Boundary Element Methods for 2D Navier-Stokes Equations

At each time step one must compute j = 6t wmoxm � 6t w(x - um(x)6t ) , which is a convection process , and solve the Generalized Stokes problem with /-l = vbt

This step requires fine meshes in directions normal to the walls because of boundary layers , but only few vertices on boundaries . Such situations are ideal for the capacitance matrix method ( [10] ) which we recall here.
