ABSTRACT

Because firms’capacities to innovate is considered one of the main factors of their competitiveness (David and Foray, 1995; Foray and Lundvall, 1996), the identification of the factors that influence their innovation capacity has emerged as an important area of research in economics. Increasing attention has been given to the organizational choices made by firms that can positively influence and orient their dynamics of innovation (e.g., Nelson and Winter, 1982; Aoki, 1990; Nonaka and Takeuchi, 1995).
