ABSTRACT
CSIRO, the (Australian) Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organization, is an Australian government research body that has interests in a wide range of topics covering agriculture, miner als, manufacturing industry, information technology as well as natural resources and the environment. Here the target has been novel water and wastewater treatm ent technologies that have high rates of reaction and separation, offering reduced capital costs. Recycling of the active reagents in continuous processes aims at ensuring tha t there is no accompanying increase in operating costs.
