Enhanced Herbicide Degradation Enhanced herbicide degradation refers to the phenomenon of an increase in the rate of herbicide decomposition induced by prior treatment. This phenomenon occurs in soils previously treated wi th the same or different herbicide but not in soils left untreated in the past. The net result of enhanced herbicide degradation is unsatisfactory weed control.
