ABSTRACT

The problem of plant growth regulation and productivity was solved in a novel way and analogues of phytohormones of a highly specific effect created. The most active compounds TA-12, LN-14 and LN-16 were applied for growth regulation of various organs of potatoes and sugarbeet, for modification of growth and organogenesis (potatoes), thus increasing productivity of the cultures. From the economical point of view, application of compound TA-12 (1-2 kg ha-1) increases potato yield (approx. by 6.0 t ha~ ), starch content, sugar-beet yield (approx. by 3.0 t ha" ) and sucrose extra content (0.5-1.1%). Compounds TA-59 (0.5 kg ha”1), LN-14 and LN-16 (1.0 kg ha-1) are recommended for use in potato tuber farming. Compound TA-12 as a regulator of potato yield was studied in Latvia, Estonia, Russia, Belarus, the Ukraine and Moldova and demonstrated positive results. Of great significance is the fact that TA-12 increases not only sugar-beet root yield, but also sucrose content. According to the main toxicometric parameter, compound TA12 is relatively non-toxic and can be applied in agriculture.
