ABSTRACT

Considering the importance of saffron and its role in Iran, Kashmir in India and many other countries improving the agriculture of southern and central great Khorasan, advancement programs in qualitative and quantitative production of this valuable crop requires expanding efforts. One of the main problems in saffron production is the presence of relatively diverse pests including rodents, insects, and plant mites; diseases such as corm rot; and weeds. Some of the species have a wide range of activities and cause damage to saffron. If rational control measures are not considered, it will result in damage such as destruction of farm and yield reduction.
