ABSTRACT
Basic TOC concepts and applications are described in the entry. This includes the cycle for evaluating, elevating, and relieving a supply chain constraint—then attacking the next one. The description includes recommended TOC metrics. The metric components include throughput, inventory, and operating expenses. Also included is the scheduling tool called “drum‐buffer‐rope.”
