4.1. INTRODUCTION
Heating, ventilating and air conditioning (HVAC) processes provide a
comfortable environment inside buildings, but consumes a great deal of energy. Roughly speaking, buildings account for one-third of total energy consumption in the world, most of which is used in HVAC processes.
