ABSTRACT
It could be argued that these observations suggest the risk of HIV infection was rather similar for male and female amphetamine injectors since the proportion of women sharing their needles and syringes was no different from that of the men. However, because of the injecting status of their partners, women tended to share with their partners and men with friends or associates.
