ABSTRACT
Name in Meybrat: Gi Gi lives in the surroundings of Mapura/Suwiam and between Mapura – Suwiam and Kokas (a village close to Ajawasi) and around Ajawasi. It is rare on the other side of the lake (Ayamaru, Kartapura/Men, Kambuaya). If the Gi meets the enemy, it will stick its beak deep into the ground and erects its spines so that the enemy cannot reach it. I have seen it on the way from Sorong to Klamono. Offspring of Gi: one young Gi.
